Meeting With The Prankster (shared fanfic with Moses)

Alice was outside by the lake drawing some of the scenery but also adding in some fairies as she went, she loved drawing as it relaxed her and she felt it was the one thing she could do without her father taking it.  She hummed a little bit as she studied what she had so far, it looked nice....to her anyway.  Sighing she put her sketchpad down and leaned against the tree with her arms wrapped around her legs, it was a beautiful day and she was determined to enjoy her free period.

"MOSES!" a girl shrieked in anger, quicky followed by other angry snalrs and scolding. Someone laughed in delight, before quick footsteps could be heard running towards the lake. "But you said you wnated a shower?" the young man's vcie chuckled, not lookign where he was running before stumbling over his own feet. He rolled around a few times, before finally comming to an halt before the small blonde.
"Ouch..."

Alice giggled and looked down at the young man who had rolled to a stop right in front of her, "Hi Moses." She said and waved at the girls, one of whom was soaking wet and glaring at Moses.  One of the girls said something to her and they left, "School's only just started and already you're pranking people." She commented with a little laugh as she nudged him with her foot.

As soon as the angry group of girls left, Moses sat up with a proud smile, rubbing off the blood from his nose. "What? I was honeslty just doing her a favor," he shrugged and took a seat next to his younger friend. "And well, she did sor tof bother me with all that make up on... was trying to prove a point she could be pretty without it," he smiled and patetd Alice's head.

She smiled and ducked her head as she tried to avoid his hand and poked him in the side, "I guess she didn't see it as helping." She couldn't help but tease just a little bit.  "So how have you been?" She asked as she smiled at him.

"Gah no! That tickles," he laughed and gently stopped ehr hand from poking him further. "How I've been? Well, the ususal, ya know..." he smiled, rubbing his neck in thought. "...how about you?"

She laughed before he asked her how she was, "Well I've been ok...I guess." She said quietly, her mind flashing to that meeting with Gaston earlier...she was certainly dreading his class even more then before. "My summer break was boring..just me and my sketchpad." She said eventually.

His smile fell when she suddenly spoke alot more quieter, and raised his hand to give her comforting pat on the shoulder. He stopped right before he would've touched her though, scared of what he might see if he did...
"Just you and your sketchpad?" he repeated, quikcly goign back to his happy self. "That's more than enough to let your talnets flow! May I see what you've drawn? Pleassssssse?" he smiled. 

Alice laughed and handed him her sketchpad, " They're not that good." She said softly as she watched him with nervous eyes.  Over the school break she had practiced drawing faces and she drawn Moses a few times, alongside with Eric and Odette.

Moses whisteld to himself while looking through the very talented girl's sketchpad. "Wow," he gasped and showed her the last pic of him. "You made more handsome than in real life!" he beamed. "You even got me from my good angle~"

She laughed and hid her blush, "Did I do a bad job?" She asked as she looked over at him shyly.  She wasn't quite so sure if he was teasing her or not so she waited for him to reply.

He rolled her eyes, and hit ehr softly on the head with the sketchpad. "Well duh," was his reply, grinning brightly. "if I don't like something, I wouldn't have dared to utter a word"

She laughed and grabbed her sketchpad back, "Well good." She said as she lightly hit him with her sketchpad before putting it back on her lap.  "So what did you do over summer break?" She asked lightly as she turned to look over at him.

Again, his smile seemed to twitch and wanting to fall, but he forced it in place. "Nothign special, just the usual," he shrugged. With the same nightmares over and over again.
"Boring, in other words. I might not be the bets in class, but I missed comming back here."

She noticed that he seemed a little bothered by something but decided not to probe and patted him on the hand, "Well you're here again right?  And as far as I'm concerned that's what counts." She said and then leaned back.

"Exactly," he nodded, and turned his focus to the lake. "And so are you, so that's jsut make this place better," he said honestly. "So.... hows your sister?"

Alice smiled at his words feeling happy that he felt the same, he was after all one of her best friends here.  "Well dad kept her locked up in her room but as a swan...I think it was because she kept refusing to marry Gaston." She said, the name she said with disgust and just a hint of fear.  "He's such a creep....and I think he and dad have something planned, I don't know what though." She added.

This time, his smile did fell and were replaced by a disgusted face as well. 
...what kind of father even did that? he thought to himself with deep frown, thinking of Korso who was still pretty much a heroto him. Though of course he'd never let him know that!
"Eric won't let that happen. And you know what? Neither will I!" he assuerd her with confidence. "Don't be afraid to ask for help girly, not for anything ok?"

She nodded, her hands twisting in her lap, she wanted to tell Moses what had happened but...but if he didn't believe her, "Can I tell you something?" She asked quietly as she looked down at her hands.  She didn't know who else to talk too and she was...scared, honestly scared.

Moses looked at her with cocnern, feeling himself growing worried as he noticed how her sudden change of behaviour. 
"Of course Alice," he said softly, not liking the fear in her voice, already startign to feel some of it himself.

She looked at him with worry, "Gaston, well he....I ran into him earlier and he...I'm not used to guys, touching me like he did.  He took my sketchpad from me but he grabbed me, I didn't know what to do.  He released me but then he touched my skirt so I slapped his hands away and he shoved me to the ground.  And then when I turned to leave he grabbed my skirt from behind and...looked up there." She said with disgust and fear as she looked away from him.  "I ran...but I don't know if I can get through classes with him." She said softly.

Moses closed his eyes as he felt rage well up within him, takign a breath to calm down. He was glad he ahnd't touche dehr, or he would've witnessed the whole thing himself over and over. 
Hwever, this was worse than he had even dared to think. A proffessor, doing this? Well ti was gaston, he's always given off that creepy wibe and he knew he slept aroudn with soem of the odler studnets. But to Alice?  A mere child?! That's just... sick.
"You have to tell this to your family Alice, to the headmistress, anyoen who could help," he said firmly "If you don't, he might try and do that again and...!" he bti his tounge before he would've said soemthign that might scare her more, but she needed to know!
"You're very brave Alice, and I'll promise to help you with this. But being only a student msyelf i cna't do much, so let's tell others who can as well ok?"

Alice shook her head frantically, "No!  We can't tell anyone...if my dad ever found out that I implicated Gaston then I would be dragged home and be beaten!  He wouldn't stop there though...he would also curse and main anyone else who he might even suspect would have been involved.  I...don't want you to get hurt."  She whispered with tears in her eyes.

"Screw your dad! If we'd tell others he wouldn't be able to do anything, I'm more than sure anyone here who help and stop him!" Moses said back, grabbing her shoulders withotu thinking to be more comforting. As soon as he did, he saw what happend between her and Gaston. 
Ugh... now i'll be dreamign about getting molested, he thought as he jerked back his hands, a sad frown on his face. "Alice... we'll fix this. i won't let that guy touch you again."

She stared up at him with wide eyes, she had seen how he had reacted when he had grabbed her shoulders but she decided not to comment on that...at least not now.  "You mean that don't you?" She asked quietly and on impulse hugged him, "Thank you." She whispered before she drew back and smiled slowly up at him.
